Statement of Faith

  • We believe in the plenary verbal inspiration and authority of the Word of God. We believe it is inerrant throughout. We believe that the Bible reveals God, the fall of man, the way of salvation, and God’s plan and purpose in the ages, and it is the supreme and final authority in faith and in life.

  • We believe that there is one God existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, co-equal and co-eternal, having the same nature and attributes.
  • We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man.
  • We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God, and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature.
  • We believe that salvation is “by grace” plus nothing and minus nothing. The conditions to salvation are repentance and personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His work on the cross.
  • We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, as our substitute to satisfy divine justice, and that all who believe on Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood.  Justification is an eternal relationship that can never be broken.
  • We believe that on the third day after His crucifixion, our Lord Jesus Christ arose again from the dead with the same body, in which He suffered with which He also ascended into heaven, and there sits at the right hand of the Father, making intercession for the saints.
  • We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ will in future history return bodily to this world.
  • We believe that at death the saved enter into the presence of God immediately, to spend eternity with Him.  At death the unsaved go immediately into eternal conscious punishment.
  • We believe that there shall be a future day of resurrection in which both the  redeemed and the damned shall be raised from the dead: the redeemed to enjoy the state of conscious eternal blessedness, and the damned to suffer the eternal torment of retribution.
  • We believe that God created a host of angels who were sinless and spiritual beings.  Some of them, led by Satan, fell into sin, and now oppose God and those whom God blesses.  The holy angels continue to minister as servants of God.
